Winton 1.05m Stone Burier (W-SB105)
The Winton W-SB105 is a 1.05-meter stone burier designed for smallholdings, paddocks, and green areas. The unit rotovates and tills soil to an adjustable maximum depth of 12cm using 20 internal blades. During operation, it buries heavier stones, old turf, and surface debris beneath a cleaner layer of light, tilled soil. An adjustable rear mesh roller follows behind the blades to level and pack the ground, leaving an even surface immediately ready for grass seeding.
For tractor compatibility, the implement attaches via a standard Category 1 three-point linkage with a lower linkage width of 55cm. It operates on a standard PTO drive and is built around a heavy-duty gearbox. A shear bolt PTO shaft is included as standard to protect the tractor drivetrain from sudden impacts or overworking. An optional slip clutch upgrade is also available to prevent repeated shear bolt breakages during heavy use.
Winton 1.05m Stone Burier with Seeder (W-SS105)
The Winton W-SS105 is an integrated stone burier and seeder combination unit designed for one-pass ground preparation and sowing. Built for use on smallholdings, paddocks, and pastures, the machine features 20 internal tilling blades that rotovate the soil up to a depth of 12cm. This process separates material by burying heavier stones, old turf, and debris beneath a clean layer of tilled soil.
Directly behind the tilling section, the built-in seeding mechanism dispenses seed onto the freshly prepared earth. The seeder is mechanically driven by the rotation of the rear mesh roller, which follows behind to distribute seed, level the topography, and pack the surface down into a finished seedbed. The roller positioning is adjustable to control depth and levelling pressure.
The implement connects via a standard Category 1 three-point linkage with a lower width of 55cm, matching small and compact tractors between 20 and 28 horsepower. Power is transferred via the tractor’s PTO through a heavy-duty gearbox. For component protection, the unit includes a standard shear bolt PTO shaft, with an optional slip clutch PTO upgrade available to prevent shear bolt breakage during heavy operation.
Winton 1.25m Stone Burier (W-SB125)
The Winton W-SB125 is a 1.25-meter tractor-mounted stone burier configured for ground cultivation on smallholdings, paddocks, and pastures. Utilising 24 internal blades, the unit rotovates soil to an adjustable maximum depth of 12cm. The tilling process buries rocks, heavy debris, and old turf beneath a fine layer of screened tilled soil.
An adjustable rear mesh roller section follows the blades to pack and level the loose soil, creating a flat, compressed surface that is directly prepared for grass seeding.
The implement is engineered with a heavy-duty gearbox and attaches via a standard Category 1 three-point linkage with a lower linkage width of 55cm. It operates off a standard tractor PTO drive. Drivetrain protection is provided by a standard shear bolt PTO shaft, and a slip clutch upgrade is optionally available to eliminate recurring shear bolt breakages during sustained high-load operations.
Winton 1.25m Stone Burier with Seeder (W-SS125)
The Winton W-SS125 is a combined stone burier and seeding implement designed for single-pass soil preparation and cultivation on paddocks, smallholdings, and pastures. Utilising 24 internal tilling blades, the machine rotovates soil to an adjustable maximum depth of 12cm. The tilling process throws soil over a screen, burying rocks, turf, and surface debris beneath a layer of fine, tilled topsoil.
Directly following the tilling process, the integrated seeder distributes grass seed over the freshly tilled ground. The seeding mechanism is ground-driven, powered directly by the mechanical rotation of the rear mesh roller. This roller follows the seed drop to level the surface, press the seed into the topsoil, and pack the bed to establish an even surface ready for germination. The roller height is fully adjustable for fine depth control.
The unit mounts onto small or compact tractors between 25 and 30 horsepower via a Category 1 three-point linkage with a lower width of 55cm. The primary tilling unit runs off the tractor’s PTO through a heavy-duty gearbox. A shear bolt PTO shaft is supplied to protect the drivetrain from shock loads, and an optional slip clutch PTO upgrade can be added to reduce down-time from broken shear bolts in rocky conditions. The machine includes a 12-month parts warranty.
Benefits of Tractor Stone Buriers
We supply heavy-duty, medium-duty, and compact stone buriers built for different soil types, field sizes, and tractor sizes. These machines are built to last and do three jobs in a single pass: deep soil rotary cultivation, burying debris, and preparing the final seedbed. Heavy-duty models are designed for primary cultivation in rough ground, while medium-duty and compact models offer the agility needed for general estate work, smallholdings, paddocks, and tight spaces.
A stone burier helps prepare and refine the topsoil by breaking up hard, compacted ground and incorporating surface vegetation and organic matter into the soil. The machine uses internal tilling blades to cultivate to an adjustable working depth of up to 12 cm. The rotation of the blades throws the dug-up soil against an internal screen. This separates the material by weight, dropping heavy stones, old turf, and wood debris down to the bottom of the trench, while burying it under a clean layer of fine, tilled topsoil.
Directly behind the blades, an adjustable rear mesh roller performs two tasks: it presses down the loose soil to eliminate air pockets and levels the ground flat. This leaves a firm, even, a cleaner, finer seedbed that ensures good seed-to-soil contact for reliable germination and even grass growth.
Using a stone burier also helps manage field drainage throughout the year. In wet weather, breaking up the hard pan increases soil aeration and subsoil drainage to stop water from pooling on the surface. In dry weather, the packed and levelled topsoil layer created by the rear roller helps reduce moisture loss, supporting healthy soil moisture levels beneath the surface.
To prevent breakdowns, these units are fitted with heavy-duty gearboxes built for tough ground conditions. The drivetrain is protected either by a standard shear bolt PTO shaft that snaps to protect the tractor if you hit a large rock, or an optional slip clutch system that prevents downtime in heavy or stony soil.
Tractor Stone Buriers for Farm Maintenance
A tractor stone burier addresses common issues such as surface compaction and the build-up of stones or crop residue by burying obstacles and levelling the ground. This process also stops weed overgrowth by uprooting unwanted plants before they can take hold, ensuring the earth is properly aerated and ready for the next stage of farming. Consistent soil preparation is necessary to maintain long-term land productivity and prevent soil degradation.
Using a stone burier increases operational efficiency by redistributing organic material and burying stones in a single pass. This reduces the requirement for multiple separate machines, which will save significant time, fuel, and labour costs for any Norfolk or Suffolk farmer. By purchasing a stone burier for these essential maintenance tasks, the machinery will provide a reliable way to manage varied agricultural requirements while keeping the soil in the best possible condition for planting.

Durability of Tractor Stone Buriers for Sale
Our stone buriers use heavy-gauge steel and reinforced components to handle daily agricultural use. They work in tough conditions like stony ground or heavy clay without breaking down, ensuring that the internal mechanisms are well-protected from the impact of buried rocks. This solid build ensures the machines perform well across fields, orchards, and vineyards through every season, providing a consistent finish regardless of the weather or the state of the terrain. By using thicker metals and high-tensile bolts, these machines are prepared for the specific stresses of stone burial.
These machines are built for a long working life with minimal downtime. High manufacturing standards mean fewer repairs and a reliable tool for heavy workloads. This allows you to get through your seasonal prep without constant stops for maintenance or unexpected downtime. Investing in a durable stone burier prevents the cost and hassle of mechanical failures when the equipment is needed most during peak windows. We select our range based on proven performance in the field, so you can trust that the frame and moving parts will stand up to years of hard work across the East Anglian landscape.
