The HZ series of grapple tongs from Fransgård Maskinfabrik are designed to grab and move felled or freed logs out of forest areas with tongs. Our grapple tongs are very useful, for example, when the logs are lying shoulder to shoulder after a storm. The machine is efficient for fast moving of whole or cut logs.

The flexible suspension of the grapple tongs make it possible to pull logs out of hard-to-reach areas, while the boom allows the logs to be stacked.

Fransgård’s HZ grapple tongs are very robust and stable and are used in many places in the world. The sturdy base construction combined with brass bushings in all joints make the grapple tongs very durable and robust, so they can handle most tasks in the forest. HZ-2300 has an opening width of 2.3 m.

If you need a smaller opening width, we can recommend our HZ-1500 with an opening width of 1.5 m.
